We celebrate a heritage of excellence.
Since FSB’s inception in 1945, as the dream of three young men, the company’s prosperity has paralleled the rise of its hometown Oklahoma City skyline. Today we are proud to be the largest locally-owned multi-disciplinary architecture and engineering firm in the State of Oklahoma and to continue the success begun by original partners Wally Frankfurt and Harold Short.
Future partner Jim Bruza joined FSB in 1963 as an Architect and Lead Designer. In the late 1960s, the second generation of owners arrived, when Mechanical Engineer Bill Frankfurt joined the team in 1966, and Fire Protection Engineer Glenn Short came on board in 1968.
Today, FSB serves clients locally, nationally and internationally and is managed by a third generation of equally dedicated owners. FSB’s current partners named in 2007 include, mechanical engineer Gary James as CEO and President; along with architects, Rick Johnson as Chief Operating Officer and Philip McNayr as Executive Vice President. All three have assumed multiple leadership roles within the company, and combined have nearly 100 years of experience in the industry.
This generation of new leaders has taken the firm to even greater heights with a Metro 50 award this past year for one of the city’s fastest growing companies, yet they remain proudly committed to the original FSB founders’ philosophy of hard work, performance and establishing the highest level of trust between our team and our clients.
